Changing blades takes seconds with the keyless lever-action clamp. If the blade clamp ever feels stuck, clear away sawdust and debris with compressed air, apply a dry lubricant, and work the lever several times. Avoid forcing it—most jams are caused by packed sawdust.
Vibration is often a sign of a dull or bent blade. Replace the blade if it's worn, make sure it's fully seated, and tighten the pivoting shoe. A fresh, sharp blade will cut smoother and reduce stress on the saw and your hands.

Wood fibers and roofing grit can build up in the blade clamp. After heavy use, pop the blade out and blow out the clamp with compressed air. A thin coat of dry PTFE lubricant keeps the lever action smooth and prevents rust.
Match the blade to the material: fine-tooth blades for metal, coarse-tooth blades for wood, and specialty blades for materials like plastic or nail-embedded wood. A sharp blade cuts faster and reduces vibration dramatically.
