The DCD800’s 3-position, 3-mode LED produces up to 70 lumens of light, including a spotlight mode with a 20-minute shutoff. The metal ratcheting 1/2-inch chuck holds bits securely, and the shorter length improves access in jambs and overhead work.
With three speed settings and Precision Drive in speed 1, the DCF887 helps prevent over-tightening and stripped screws. At only 5.3 inches front to back, it fits in confined spaces while still generating 1,825 in-lbs of torque for lag screws and structural fasteners.

I just started my own handyman business and this combo handles most jobs. The drill is brushless and strong enough for 3/4 spade bits. The impact driver drives screws all day without stripping. The 2Ah batteries don't last as long as I'd like, but they charge in 20 minutes. Great starter kit.
I've used DeWalt for years and this pair doesn't disappoint. The DCD800 is a tank, with no chuck wobble. The DCF887 is my favorite impact, always reliable. The XR batteries seem to last longer than the standard ones. The kit price is reasonable. If you need a dependable drill/driver combo, this is it.
