The DEWALT D26676 3-1/4-Inch Portable Hand Planer is built for woodworkers who need a reliable tool for shaping, smoothing, and edging. With a powerful 5.5-amp motor, it handles hardwoods without bogging down, while the machined aluminum shoe delivers a fine finish and reduces vibration for comfortable, controlled passes.
The D26676 features a tall-profile, large-diameter depth adjustment knob that gives you precise control in 0.1mm increments. That means you can dial in exact cut depths for clean, even results. The ergonomic finger-rest handle promotes better balance and reduce fatigue during long sessions, whether you're trimming doors or smoothing rough lumber.
The 296mm machined aluminum shoe is meticulously flat, providing a true, stable surface against the work piece. This translates to less vibration and a smoother finish compared to stamped steel shoes. It's a difference you can feel every time you pull the trigger.
The oversized adjustment knob with 0.1mm graduations makes micro-adjustments quick and exact. No guessing, no test cuts—just set it and plane. The planer also includes a rabbeting ledge for cutting rabbet joints when you need it.
Ideal for furniture making, cabinetry, and general carpentry, the DEWALT D26676 is a dependable addition to any workshop.

The D26676 is perfect for trimming doors, squaring edges, and smoothing rough lumber. Its fine-adjustment knob makes it easy to fine-tune the depth, and the machined shoe slides smoothly over the workpiece without digging in.
Unlike cheaper planers with stamped steel bases, the machined aluminum shoe on the D26676 stays flatter and vibrates less. The 5.5-amp motor gives you more headroom when working with dense hardwoods, and the finger-rest handle makes longer sessions more comfortable.
If you value control and finish quality, this planer will become a workshop favorite.
Yes, the 5.5-amp motor is strong enough for hardwoods like oak, maple, and walnut. For heavy stock removal, take light passes and let the planer do the work.
The D26676 includes a depth stop fence for rabbeting and beveling. It does not include a removable side fence, but you can install standard accessories if needed.
The planer cuts up to 1/8 inch per pass at its maximum depth setting. For best results on hardwoods, start with shallow passes of 1/32 to 1/16 inch.
Turn the large knob to raise or lower the front shoe. Each graduation equals 0.1mm, so you can make fine adjustments. Always set the depth when the tool is off.
The aluminum shoe is machined as part of the base and is not a separate replacement part. If it becomes damaged, the planer may need professional service.

Smooth cuts every time.
Took a bit to set, but once dialed in it's great.
This was my first planer and I was nervous. But the instructions were pretty clear. It shaved off the high spots on my oak table without any tear-out. The dust port does a decent job, though it clogs sometimes. I'll definitely get more use out of it.
I've had the corded version for many years, and this one is just as reliable. The machined shoe is flat and true. The 5.5 amp motor has plenty of power for my shop projects. I like the front knob for depth adjustment, it's precise. The only thing missing is a carrying case.
Works good. Needed sharpening out of the box though.
I installed a bunch of interior doors and used this to trim the jambs. It's light and easy to control. I could get a nice smooth finish with minimal sanding. The blades that came with it lasted a few weeks, but replacements are cheap. Good tool for the price.
Does its job.
Smooth and quiet. The chips go into the bag.
