Took some adjusting but it does the job. The depth adjustment works smoothly. Dust collection could be better.
I've been a woodworker for over 40 years, and this planer is a keeper. It has enough power to take off 1/16 inch on hard maple without bogging down. The 34,000 cuts per minute leave a surface that needs very little sanding. It's easy to set the depth, and the blade stays sharp for a long time. The dust port helps keep my shop clean. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the fence, which I had to buy separately. Otherwise, it's an excellent tool.
