I needed a corded hammer drill for occasional masonry work. This one is solid. The dual-mode switch is easy to use, and the 2-speed gearbox gives good control. The pistol grip is comfortable, even with gloves. It's heavy, but that's expected for a 10-amp tool. It drilled through brick and mortar without bogging down. The chuck holds bits securely. Good value for the money.
This drill is a workhorse. Cuts through wood and steel easily. The keyless chuck is convenient.
I've had many drills in my life, and this one ranks high. It's built like the tools of my youth, no plastic junk. The power is excellent, I used it to mix thinset. The variable speed switch takes some getting used to, but I like it. It's a bit heavy for overhead work, but that's the name of the game. I'd recommend it.
