When you use a dust extractor without a bag, the debris accumulates in the tank and you have to empty it by tipping it into a trash can—often creating a cloud of fine dust. A paper bag captures that material inside a filter bag that you can simply lift out and throw away. This is especially important for drywall dust, which is extremely fine and irritating.
Open the extractor lid, slide the bag collar onto the intake port inside the tank, and press down so the bag hangs freely in the tank. Close the lid, and use the extractor as normal. When the bag is full, open the lid, lift the bag out, and seal it closed.
