The DeWalt DCS565P1 20V MAX* 6-1/2-inch brushless cordless circular saw is built for carpenters, roofers, and serious DIYers who need clean, accurate cuts without dragging a cord around. Its brushless motor spins blades to 4,950 RPM, giving you the speed and power to cut through lumber, plywood, and other common materials with confidence.
The tool-free bevel lever changes angle from 0° to 50° in seconds, and depth adjustments are just as easy. You get a full 2-1/8 in depth of cut at 90°, enough for most framing and sheathing work.
This saw weighs just over 7 pounds with battery, so it’s easy to handle all day. The built-in rafter hook keeps it close when you're on a roof, and the bright LED lights up the cut line. An electric brake stops the blade quickly after release for extra safety.
You get the DCS565 saw, a 20V MAX* 5.0Ah battery (DCB205), charger, blade, blade wrench, optional dust chute, and a kit bag to keep it all organized.

Great saw, light.
Cuts 2x4s like butter. Battery lasts a while.
I've been framing with this saw for months. It's not as powerful as my 7-1/4 corded, but for most cuts it's more than enough. The brushless motor is efficient. The tool-free bevel is nice, though the detents are a bit hard to click sometimes. The depth of cut is slightly shallower, but I rarely need more. The battery drains fast under heavy use, so I keep multiple packs. Overall, I'm happy with it.
Easy to use.
Good saw for DIY. The included battery lasts about 40 minutes of cutting.
I bought this saw to keep in the truck for quick jobs. It's convenient not to drag a cord. The saw is well balanced and easy to control. The brake stops the blade quickly, which I like. The only issue is the limited depth, but for framing 2x4s it's perfect. I've used it to cut plywood too. Very satisfied.
This saw is great. It's light and cuts straight. The battery charges fast.
I'm a floor installer and I use this saw to cut subfloor. It's powerful enough and the blade is very visible. The dust collection is better than my old saw, but still not perfect. The handle is comfortable. It's a bit noisy, but that's typical. I've had it for a year and it hasn't failed me.
Works well.
I've used this saw on a DIY deck project. It cut all the pressure-treated lumber with ease. The battery lasted surprisingly long after a full charge. The saw is compact and fits in my small toolbox. The tool-free bevel adjustment is handy. The only downside is the blade is a bit small for thick beams, but for standard work it's fine. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Decent saw, but the battery is the bottleneck. It heats up after continuous use.
For a cordless saw, this one has real power. I was skeptical, but it kept up with my old corded saw on most jobs. The ergonomics are good. The blade guard is smooth. The battery charger is fast. The only thing I miss is the extra depth, but that's the trade-off. It's a keeper.
