The DEWALT 20V MAX Pencil Concrete Vibrator Kit (DCE531M1) brings cordless convenience to concrete consolidation. This kit includes a 4Ah battery, giving you the power and runtime to handle demanding pours. With a 1-1/8-inch diameter vibrator head and 14,000 VPM (under load), it removes trapped air and ensures dense, strong concrete. The 4-foot flexible shaft reaches deep into forms, while the 20V MAX platform lets you work without dragging a generator or compressor around.
Proper consolidation is critical to concrete strength and surface finish. The DCE531M1 delivers the vibration frequency needed to settle concrete around rebar, in tight corners, and through narrow openings. Its pencil-style design makes it easy to insert into concrete and move in a controlled pattern. It's a must-have for contractors pouring footings, columns, slabs, and precast elements.
The 1-1/8-inch head is sized for a wide range of pours, and 14,000 VPM (under load) ensures effective consolidation without overworking the mix. The 4-foot flexible shaft provides excellent reach and lets you work from the edge of the form. You get the efficiency of a corded vibrator in a cordless, jobsite-friendly package.
The DCE531M1 kit comes with a 4Ah 20V MAX battery, so you're ready to work out of the box. With the battery, you can consolidate multiple small-to-mid-size pours on a single charge. And since it's part of the DEWALT 20V MAX system, any other compatible batteries you own will also work.
DEWALT engineered this vibrator with a durable motor and shaft assembly that's built to handle tough site conditions. The rubberized grip keeps you comfortable and in control, even during long pours. The low-maintenance design means less downtime and more time getting the concrete placed.

Concrete that isn't properly consolidated can develop voids, honeycombs, and weak spots. The DCE531M1's pencil vibrator reaches into areas where larger vibrators can't fit, ensuring the mix is dense and uniform. The 4-foot shaft gives you the reach to work from outside the form, and the 14,000 VPM does the job fast.
With a 4Ah battery included, you don't have to buy anything extra to start pouring. The DCE531M1 is ready to work from the moment it arrives, and the battery works across the DEWALT 20V MAX system.
It's used to consolidate fresh concrete by removing air pockets and settling the mix around rebar and in tight spaces, resulting in stronger, denser concrete.
The DCE531M1 is ideal for small-to-mid-size pours. For mass concrete slabs, a larger head vibrator may be needed for deep penetration. It's perfect for footings, columns, and smaller structural elements.
It uses DEWALT 20V MAX batteries. The kit includes a 4Ah battery, and any other DEWALT 20V MAX battery you own is compatible.
Runtime varies by concrete mix and usage, but a 4Ah battery typically provides enough power for several small pours before needing a recharge.
The flexible shaft is a durable component, but if it becomes damaged or kinked, it should be inspected by a qualified service technician.
Works great on flatwork.
I've used a lot of vibrators and this one is solid. The battery lasts through a pour. Easy for the crew to handle.
In my 45 years in concrete, I've run every kind of vibrator. This cordless model is a game changer. It's powerful enough to consolidate a slab, yet light enough to use all day. The flexible shaft takes some getting used to, but it gets into tight places. Battery life is impressive. I wish it came with a second battery. Still, a top-notch tool.
Bought for a patio job and it worked perfectly. The 4-foot shaft is a bit short for deep columns, but fine for slabs.
No more cords!
Runs quietly and the vibration is strong. The battery charges fast. Good value for a cordless unit.
I was skeptical about cordless vibrators, but this proved me wrong. It compacted the concrete in our footings nicely. The trigger lets you feather the speed. My arms didn't go numb after a few hours. The only issue is the rubber boot on the shaft seemed loose at first. I tightened it and all good. Definitely recommend for small to medium pours.
Great for small jobs.
It does the job, though I expected a little more power for the size. It's easy to handle and clean up is simple. The case is sturdy.
