It runs on four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, including FLEXVOLT packs (batteries sold separately), and also functions as a 4-port simultaneous charger. The key to choosing what you can run is checking the tool's rated wattage. The continuous 1800W output handles most small to medium corded tools. For peak starts on motors, the 3600W surge capability helps start tools with higher initial draw. Tools like a 12-inch miter saw (which might draw beyond 1800W) may not work; a tool rated under 1800W will run reliably.
In addition to providing AC output, the DCB1800B has four ports for DEWALT 20V MAX/FLEXVOLT batteries and charges them at the same time. For maximum sustained power, use four 20V MAX 3.0Ah batteries (DCB200) or higher. This is a tool-only unit: batteries and extension cord are sold separately.

I use this on job sites where there's no power. It runs my chargers and even a small heater. It's compact and well built. The LEDs show battery level. It can charge tools while using power, which is smart. The only downside is it doesn't come with batteries, so you need to already own Dewalt batteries. But if you do, it's a game changer.
