If your battery isn't charging, start with the basics: plug the charger into a working outlet, wipe the battery contacts clean, and check that the battery is between 32°F and 104°F / 0°C and 40°C. A blinking light on the charger usually means the battery is too hot or too cold, not necessarily a dead pack. Let it adjust to room temperature and try again. For persistent issues, it may need a charger firmware update or service.

The DCB200 is the sweet spot between portability and runtime. It's heavier than a compact 1.5Ah pack, but it unlocks the energy you need for saws, grinders, and rotary hammers without going up to the 5Ah brick.
When a battery won't charge, check the obvious things first: outlet, charger port, and battery contacts. Lithium-ion packs have a built-in protection circuit that can get confused when too hot or cold. Move the battery to the 60-80°F range and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. A blinking light isn't always a dead pack—sometimes it's just temperature protection.
Don't store a fully depleted battery for months. Keep it at around 50% charge, in a cool dry spot, and give it a boost every 3 to 6 months. That routine pays off in pack life.
Check the charger and outlet, clean the battery contacts with a dry cloth, and let the battery warm/cool to room temperature. If the charger still shows a fault, try a different DEWALT 20V charger.
