I do a lot of home renovation, and this drill handles everything from driving screws to drilling through concrete. The POWERDETECT really kicks when I use a high-capacity battery. It's got all the speed settings I need, and the hammer action is strong. I like the metal chuck too. It's a bit heavy, but you get used to it. Highly recommend.

Plenty of power for drilling into block, but it drains batteries fast. Make sure you have a spare or a big battery. Otherwise great.
I'm a framer and I've put this through hell. The hammer drill eats through 1/2" concrete bits like nothing. I dropped it twice and it still runs perfect. It's fast and durable.
I've owned many drills in my time, and this one is definitely top-notch. It has excellent power and the three speeds make it versatile. My only complaint is the weight; after a long day my arm gets tired. I wish they made a lighter version. Still, it gets the job done.

It's comfortable to hold and the side handle helps control. I've used it for mixing mud, which is tough on any drill, and it didn't complain. The only issue is the chuck sometimes slips if you don't tighten it well. Not a deal breaker though. Good value for the price.
