The DEWALT DW618B3 is the three-base version of the DW618 router system. It includes the same powerful 2-1/4 HP, 12-amp electronic variable-speed motor, but adds a D-handle base to the fixed and plunge bases. That gives you three ways to work: edge profiling with the fixed base, plunge cuts for hinge mortises and dovetails, and the D-handle base for overhead work or one-handed control. Soft start and feedback speed control maintain the set RPM from 8,000 to 24,000, even in dense hardwood.
Each base changes in seconds with the tool-free steel cam lock and quick-release motor latches. The built-in through-the-column dust collection captures up to 95% of chips, so you can see the cut line. Collets for both 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch bits are included.
