The DEWALT DW919 18-Volt Flexible Floodlight is a dependable cordless work light that shines exactly where you need it. This floodlight uses DEWALT 18V slide batteries (sold separately) and features an extra-bright xenon bulb for wide-area illumination. Its flexible neck lets you angle the head into tight spots or overhead spaces, while the lockable head clip converts it into a hands-free lantern for hanging or mounting.
Whether you’re a DIYer working under the sink, an electrician pulling wire in a dark panel, or a contractor setting up a temporary work area, the DW919 gives you the flexibility to light the task without finding an outlet. The high-quality housing is built to handle jobsite bumps, and the simple controls make it easy to operate with gloves on.
The DW919 runs on the DEWALT 18V slide-battery platform. This means any DEWALT 18V slide-style battery pack (sold separately) should work, so you can share batteries with other DEWALT 18V cordless tools you already own. Always make sure the battery is fully seated and the contacts are clean before use. The DW919 is not compatible with DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, so stick with the original 18V packs for reliable power.
The floodlight uses a replaceable xenon bulb that provides bright, white light. If your bulb dims or burns out, it’s easy to swap in a new one. Check the owner’s manual for the correct bulb type, or contact our support team for replacement options. Keeping the bulb lens clean and storing the light in a dry spot will extend its life.

The DEWALT DW919 isn’t just a light—it’s a positioning tool. The flexible neck lets you wrap light around pipes, under dashboards, or into cabinets without holding the light.
For best performance, use a fully charged DEWALT 18V slide battery. If the beam starts to dim, the bulb may need replacement. Having a spare xenon bulb in your kit keeps downtime to a minimum.
Pair the DW919 with a DEWALT 18V battery you already own, and you have an instant, reliable light source for any job.

No, the DW919 is a cordless light and runs on a charged 18V battery. It does not have a corded charging mode.
Remove the battery, open the bulb access, and replace the xenon bulb with the correct type. Avoid touching the new bulb glass with bare fingers to prevent premature burn-out.
It’s designed as a durable jobsite light, but it is not fully waterproof. Keep it dry and avoid submerging it.

Bright and portable.
This light is handy for under-the-hood work. The flexible neck stays put. Just wish it had a battery hookup option.
I bought this for weekend projects in the garage. The xenon bulb is really bright, much better than an old incandescent I had. The wide beam lights up a whole room. The flex neck is stiff enough to hold position but easy to adjust. The clip on the head works, but I'd rather have a hook. It's a bit heavy for the batteries, but that's expected. Overall, a good work light if you're already in the 18V system.
Used it on a job site; it survived a drop. The light output is good. The clip is not very strong.
As a mechanic, I need a light that goes where I point it. This does that. The flexible neck is great for tight spots. The xenon light is bright enough to see into dark corners. Battery life is average, but I have spares. I like that it's compact. However, the switch is in an awkward spot. It's still a solid light.
Too bulky for its output.
