The DEWALT DWE7480 10-Inch Compact Jobsite Table Saw is a discontinued model that's still a favorite among contractors and DIYers for its accuracy and portability. Powered by a 15-amp motor and equipped with the Site-Pro Modular Guarding System, this saw delivers 24-1/2 inches of rip capacity—enough for shelving and trim work. The rack-and-pinion telescoping fence rails make adjustments fast and precise, and the metal roll cage protects the saw from jobsite abuse. We have a limited supply of this model left, so it's a chance to own a proven performer.
The DWE7480 cuts to a maximum depth of 2-1/2 inches at 90 degrees and handles bevel cuts to 45 degrees. The included guard and riving knife are tool-free adjustable, so you can switch between cuts quickly. The blade is driven directly by the motor, meaning less power loss and better efficiency.
One of the strongest features is the rack-and-pinion telescoping fence rails. The fence slides smoothly and locks down firmly, keeping it parallel to the blade throughout the entire cutting range. You'll get straight, repeatable cuts without measuring and adjusting every time.
The DWE7480 is designed for standard 10-inch blades only. It does NOT support stacked dado sets or wobble dado blades. The arbor length and riving knife system do not accommodate them. If you need to cut dado joints, you'll need a saw designed for dado stacks or use an alternative technique. For standard rip cuts, crosscuts, bevels, and sheet goods, this saw excels.
At about 45 pounds, the DWE7480 moves easily around a jobsite. The metal roll cage, folding stand (sold separately), and onboard storage for the guarding components and push stick keep everything at hand. The fixed table surface accepts the included push stick and has a 2-inch dust collection port for a shop vac.

Even though it's discontinued, the DWE7480 is remembered for its low-profile yet powerful design. The rack-and-pinion fence is the same system used on larger DEWALT saws, giving you cabinet-saw-style accuracy at 45 pounds. The direct-drive motor reduces belt wear and boosts torque at the blade.
With a carrying handle on the side and a compact footprint, you can set it up in a matter of minutes on a tailgate or workbench. Pair it with a DEWALT rolling stand (sold separately) for jobsite mobility.
The blade guard and riving knife snap on and off without tools. The included push stick keeps hands at a safe distance, and the clear guard gives you a view of the cut line. The 24.5-inch rip capacity easily handles standard plywood and 2x4s, and the 0-45° bevel lets you tackle trim and angled joints.
No. The DWE7480 is engineered for standard 10-inch blades only. The arbor is not long enough for stacked dado sets, and the riving knife system would need to be removed, which is not recommended. Use a dedicated dado-capable saw for that task.
The DWE7480 was replaced by newer models with updated features. It remains popular for its rack-and-pinion fence and roll cage design. Once current inventory is gone, it won't be restocked.
No, the DWE7480 is a bench/table saw that fits on a workbench or DEWALT rolling stand. The DWE7491RS and DWE7490 later models include stands.
Unplug the saw, raise the blade to maximum height, and use the included wrenches to loosen the arbor nut. The blade spindle lock holds the arbor in place while you remove the nut. Reinstall a new 10-inch blade, tighten, and check the alignment with a square.

Cuts square right out of the box.
I've been in woodworking for 40 years. The rack-and-pinion fence on this saw is the best I've used. It locks parallel every time. The 24.5-inch rip capacity is enough for most sheet goods. It's noisy, but they all are. The roll cage saved it when I bumped it off the tailgate. Only bad thing is the blade guard feels flimsy.
This saw replaced my old one. The fence is spot on. I can rip 3/4 ply with no binding.
As a younger guy just starting my shop, I love how compact this is. It's loud, but it gives me a real 10-inch cut. The stand is solid. The dust port does little, though. I'm happy with the fence.
The saw works fine, but the miter gauge is garbage. Also, the dust collection is poor. I know you buy a saw for the arbor, not the gauge, but at this price I expected better. The fence, though, is excellent.
I've used table saws since the 1950s. This one is as good as many cabinet models I've used. It's portable, the fence is true, and the motor has guts. My only complaint is the stock blade, which I replaced with a fine finish blade. With that change, it cuts like a jewel.
Slick fence, easy to move around the site. The roll cage already saved it once. Not a fan of the plastic blade guard.
Used it to frame a shed. Ripped 2x4s and plywood all day. The fence stays locked. The saw is heavy but manageable. It runs smooth. Recommended.
I'm a widow who does my own repairs. This saw is the first one I could lift by myself. It cuts accurately and doesn't kick back. The instructions were clear. I feel safe using it.
The fence is sweet, but the miter gauge is useless. Buy a crosscut sled and you'll be fine.
I bought this for my grandson. He loves it. I like the safety switch with the key. The saw feels solid. The price was reasonable. I wish the manual had larger print.
