The 103's short slide and small head give you the clearance you need. Its precise wheel and screw mechanism let you make smooth, even cuts without crushing thin-wall tubing.
Start with the cutting wheel aligned on the mark. Tighten the knob until the wheel just touches the tube. Rotate the cutter around the tube one full turn, then tighten a quarter turn. Repeat until the cut is complete. Keep the wheel square to the tube to avoid angled cuts.
Keep the wheel clean and check the spare wheel condition. A dull wheel puts extra pressure on the tube and can produce a rough edge. Replace it when it no longer scores cleanly. With proper care, this cutter will handle thousands of cuts.
