The 0.36-inch moderately stiff push cable is sized to move through 1.5–8 in pipes while holding enough stiffness to push around turns. The Flexmitter sonde sends a locate signal to compatible underground locators, so you can mark the camera position on the surface. The CS6x VERSA monitor records high-dynamic-range video, and the TiltSense inclinometer shows real-time tilt to help identify sags or misaligned pipe.

M40 Pipe Range and Cable Selection

For smaller lines, the C40 with a 0.26-inch cable covers 1.5–6 in pipes. The M40's larger cable gives you more stiffness for longer runs and bigger lines, but it still handles 1.5-in pipe in many situations. Match the cable to your typical drain sizes: M40 if you see a lot of 3–8 in lateral lines, C40 if you primarily work in tub, lav, and small branch lines.

The bundle includes the 18V battery and charger, so the monitor can run without a generator. HDR image processing reduces blown-out highlights and dark shadows, making it easier to spot cracks, roots, and offsets in one pass.

Like the old days, but better

I've been plumbing since 1975 and this is a godsend. The setup was simple and the picture is far better than any of the snake cameras I used in the past. Being able to record the inspection and show the homeowner exactly what's down there has saved me a lot of back-and-forth. The cable is stiff enough to push through tight bends but still flexible. I ran it out to 100 feet on a cast iron stack and didn't lose signal. The battery life is excellent, though I keep the spare charged. The monitor is bright even in daylight. My only complaint is the price, but you get what you pay for.
