The DEWALT DC9310 1-Hour Battery Charger is the smart choice if you’re running older DEWALT 7.2V–18V cordless tools. It charges NiCd, NiMH, and Li-Ion packs with a 3-stage system that protects the battery and reduces downtime. The LED display tells you when it’s charging, charged, too hot, or ready for replacement.
This charger is not compatible with DEWALT 20V Max batteries. It is designed for the 7.2V, 9.6V, 12V, 14.4V, and 18V slide-pack batteries that use the older connector (except Univolt batteries). If you’re using a 20V Max battery, you’ll need a DEWALT 20V Max charger.
The 3-stage system maximizes runtime and extends battery life by managing the charge cycle. The DC9310 also charges an 18V Li-Ion battery in one hour or less—so you’re back to work quicker.

Before you order, check the battery pack label. If it says 7.2V, 9.6V, 12V, 14.4V, or 18V and uses the older slide design, this charger will work. If it says 20V Max, it will not—you need the newer charger.

I've been using DEWALT tools for over twenty years and have gone through several chargers. This DC9310 is one of the better ones I've owned. It charges my older NiCd and NiMH packs as well as the newer Li-Ion batteries. The three-stage charging seems to keep the batteries healthy, and the LED diagnostics are a nice feature. I appreciate that it is built solidly like most DEWALT equipment. It does take an hour for a full charge, but that's what it's designed to do. I'm glad I can still use my old batteries instead of buying new ones.
Good charger, but I wish it charged a little faster. Still, it does the job.
