When you're near an outlet, it charges those batteries at 3 amps while the radio plays. The DCR025 accepts slide-pack batteries from the 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT families. When plugged into AC power, it doubles as a 3A charger—so you can top off a battery without carrying a separate charger. The radio itself can run on battery power, making it portable across the jobsite or at the cabin. Keep in mind, battery charging only occurs when the unit is connected to AC power.
If your DCR025 isn't charging a battery, first confirm the AC cord is plugged in and the outlet is live. Inspect the battery contacts and the radio's charging terminals for debris. The radio will not charge batteries when running off battery power alone. Also check that the battery is within its temperature range—extremely hot or cold packs may not charge until they normalize.
20 watts per channel, plus woofers, tweeters, and air ports, produce full sound at high volume. The 100-foot Bluetooth range means you can leave your phone on the workbench and keep control. AVRCP support lets you play, pause, and skip tracks from the radio's interface. There's also an Aux input for non-Bluetooth devices.
