The DCS353B saves you from hunting for a wrench on a ladder. The spring-loaded Quick-Change lever opens the collet wide enough to release a blade, and flipping it closed locks the accessory securely. Because the tool uses a universal adapter, you’re not locked into one blade brand—just about any oscillating blade designed for a standard arbor will fit.
For most work, a plunge-cut blade in wood and a stiff scraper or sanding pad are enough. Add a segmented grinding blade for grout and thin tile if you tackle bathroom or countertop jobs. The universal adapter makes swapping between these tasks quick.
Move the quick-release lever to the open position, slide out the current accessory, insert the new blade or adapter, then release the lever to lock it in place. It takes just a few seconds and requires no tools.

I got this for a small woodworking project and it was perfect. The LED light is actually useful in dark corners. It's very light, I could use it with one hand. The universal adapter works with my other blades. Battery life is short with my old 12V battery, but I guess that's expected.
I keep this in my work truck for quick trim work. It's smaller than my 20V model and more maneuverable. The brushless motor has decent power for a 12V. The tool-free blade change is convenient. The only downside is no charger included, so you need a 12V system.
Works well for flush cuts. Not super powerful but does the job.
I bought this because my hands aren't as strong as they used to be. The small size and light weight make it easy to control. It has enough power for the baseboards and molding I do. The LED is a nice touch for dark crawlspaces. I'm glad I chose the brushless version.
